What we collect, and why

Google account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address (via OpenID Connect) to identify your account and attribute shares to you.

Google Drive access — limited by design

FAK Drive Share requests a single, narrow Google Drive scope: drive.file ("see, create and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app"). The app can only access files you explicitly select in the Google Picker, or folders it creates itself. It cannot browse, list, or search your Drive. You can revoke this access at any time in your Google account permissions.

What we store

Login tokens: Google OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before storage and used only to act on your Drive when you ask us to (creating shares, copying files you selected).
Share metadata: file names, sizes and IDs you chose to share, share settings (recipients, expiry), and copy counts.
Sessions: a signed, httpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.

What we never touch

File contents never pass through our servers. Copies happen directly between Google accounts via the Google Drive API. We don't sell data, run ads, or share your information with third parties.

Retention and deletion

Shares expire automatically (default 30 days) and you can revoke them anytime from your dashboard — revoking also removes the sharing permissions the app created. Signing out ends your session. To delete your account data entirely, contact us below and we will remove it.

Protection

This service works through official Google Drive. Your files stay under Google's protection, and your privacy is safe. All traffic is transmitted over HTTPS.
